Building Civil Society Organisations of the Future
Building Civil Society Organisations of the Future
We are in the process of scripting a new normal. The world of work has changed as a result of the pandemic. As organisations slowly begin to resume work, pivots are needed, decisions have to be taken to ensure organisational continuity and impact. From financial management and fundraising to talent management and communication, organisations will need to take strategic decisions with agility to stay afloat and thrive.
Arthan is launching a long-term initiative, bringing together experts, thought leaders and practitioners from the sector to come together to build this roadmap for the future. Arthan is committed to building a platform bringing in diverse voices across gender, region and language into the dialogue and ensuring building an inclusive future. In the first phase, Arthan is curating a virtual conference with diverse stakeholders on critical issues across thematic areas through panel discussions, masterclasses, AMAs and much more.
The conference includes dedicated forums on critical topics that act as enablers across sectors such as Fundraising, Talent and Communication. The conference will cover various sector-specific thematic tracks such as Education, Women's Leadership in the Development Sector, Urban Planning, Climate Change, Gender, Healthcare, Agriculture and Skill Development. A cross cutting thread across the themes will be around career opportunities within sectors across the next two years.

Themes
Linking sectors of the future to bring together multiple stakeholders and accelerate progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals, Building CSOs of the Future has multiple tracks.
Each track touches upon some aspect of life that has been impacted due to the pandemic or will be critical for building a sustainable future in the times to come. The need of the hour is to co-create solutions in all spheres by allowing for dialogues, learning and knowledge sharing and designing actionable steps to achieve our common goals of a better, sustainable future.
Future Oriented
With the appearance of the COVID-19, the world has gone through an unprecedented crisis, the effects of which will be seen for many many months to come. And possibly the world that emerges will look very different.
And like all sectors, the social impact sector too faces a tremendous challenge - with a reduction in resources and need for reinvention - it is clear that the next year and beyond will require this sector to re-imagine and innovate in order to continue to create impact. The challenges the social sector has been seeking to solve will be further exacerbated, across sectors gender/livelihoods/health/financial inclusion and many more. COVID-19 has wiped up decades of developmental progress and with 2030 a decade away, we need to double down on our efforts to meet the SDGs.
It, therefore, is critical to imagine the world through a futuristic lens, to come together to accelerate solutions and build dialogue and strategies that begin now and are geared towards the future. ‘Building Civil Society Organisations of the Future’ is a platform that will bring together diverse stakeholders to come up with solutions and strategies that strengthen the ecosystem and prepare for the future.
